KJT Group Spends the Day Volunteering!

At KJT Group, it’s not all work and no play! Our employee wellness program, “Wellness by Design”, puts special emphasis on activities that promote well-being, encompassing three core components: Physical Fitness, Nutrition, and Sound Mind.

As part of the ‘Sound Mind’ component of “Wellness by Design”, we volunteer in our community. It’s a great way for us to get out of the office and work together on something other than market research – and all for a great cause!

This past Friday, both our offices spent half the day volunteering in their respective communities. Our New York office went to the Rochester Rotary Sunshine Campus, a free summer camp for kids with disabilities. They cleaned up trails and spruced up facilities in preparation for the kids’ arrival later this summer. This is the second year in a row they volunteered at the Sunshine Campus. Our North Carolina office worked with Urban Community Agronomics, a non-profit partner of the Triangle Land Conservancy, who is setting up a community garden in Durham. They built garden boxes and started to plant in them.

Michaela Gascon, Chief Operating Officer said, “Many of our employees volunteer during their personal time, and we want to allow this opportunity with their colleagues as well. During all our volunteer events, we find our employees not only really enjoy their time and contribution to our surrounding communities, but also foster stronger bonds with each other that ultimately benefit our workplace culture.”

In addition to volunteering in the community, KJT Group also makes charitable donations for every customer satisfaction survey completed by our clients. Last year, we donated over $1,500 to organizations such as the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, American Red Cross, the COPD Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, and the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD).
