Research Manager/Senior Manager  

(Full time/permanent)

The Market Research Manager/Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of market research projects for assigned client accounts. The Research Manager supervises Research Associates and Research Assistants in the delivery of these projects.  The Research Manager works closely with clients, vendors and colleagues to insure the successful completion of each project. The Research Manager has overall responsibility for interpreting the data, writing summary reports and making evidence-based recommendations to the sponsoring client.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact/relationship manager on selected client accounts.
  • Communicate with clients to understand and document the business objectives.
  • Select the most appropriate research methodology and techniques for each project.
  • Write study proposals and prepare cost estimates.
  • Design qualitative and quantitative research workflow plans and timetables.
  • Design survey questionnaires and moderator discussion guides.
  • Interpret data, oversee report writing, and make actionable recommendations to clients.
  • Assist the Research Director in establishing annual budgets.
  • Supervise a Research Team comprised of one to five employees.
  • Other responsibilities as may be assigned.

 Requirements:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., business, social sciences, or mathematics/statistics).
  • Statistics coursework required.
  • Good understanding of statistical modeling.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years’ professional experience in a market research or business intelligence role.
  • 1 to 3 years of market research experience with the relevant industry/sector.
  • Proven practical experience with a wide array of market research solutions, including new product, brand, advertising and customer satisfaction solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated strength in both quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Strong analytic skills.
  • Expert proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Competency with one or more statistical analysis packages (R, STATA, SPSS, etc.).
  • Fluent in English.
